Reporting From Queen Elizabeth National Park

We've had a great two days! We've seen elephants, lions, monkeys, hippos, cape buffalo, Kobs - the national animal (it looks like a white tailed deer), the national bird, the Crested Crane. It is unbelievably beautiful here! You can see for miles, mountains, hills, lakes, and more! We went on a boat today to see the animals from the water channel between Lake George and Lake Edward. The Channel is so big that it looks like a lake but links the two large bodies of water.

We just had a delicious meal at a lodge with a beautiful view of the channel and Lake Edward. Tomorrow morning we will go on another safari on the way out of the park and onward towards Kampala (about six hours from here). We're planning to make a couple of stops. One at the equator. The good thing about being in the Southern Hemisphere is that you weight 3% lighter here. :) It's a good thing after the buffet we just ate! The water also swirls in the toilet bowl a different direction here. (If you have an American type toilet. We've also learned how to use a Ugandan toilet which is basically a slot in the floor.)

We'll write more when we get back to Kampala.

Don't forget Team Two, be sure everyone brings $100 bills for the best exchange rate. There are lots of wonderful handcrafted things here to buy so bring plenty of money for shopping. :)

Glad to hear all is going well. If anyone over there bumps into Ruth Scott, tell her happy birthday from Shawn
